I read what Mohsen wrote in the page, answering that dignified person who was asking: “What’s going on in Iran?”

Let me use the opportunity to talk about what is going on in my country, and complete what I wrote previously. Thank you for taking your time.

As you know, there is no kind of freedom in Iran. It is 30 years that they are suppressing every voice against the government and Islamic system. I was about 13 when revolution took place. We were hopeful to have freedom and a democratic country. But very soon, we found out that it was not a democratic government. They arrested, beat, and killed a lot of protesting people, most of them young girls and boys.
Therefore, I found it useless to protest more, and tried to focus on studying and improving my education.
I didn’t participate in any elections because I did know that they were not legal, and it was not people’s vote which came out of the boxes.
This year, I found out it was my responsibility to participate in the election because most of the young were hopeful and asked everybody to vote to show the government people’s strength, maybe we can make a difference.

So I voted too. When they announced that Ahmadi has been elected, at the beginning every body’s reaction was a kind of shock. We didn’t believe that they can make such a big and obvious cheating.
I kept asking myself “Why do they make such a risk to deny people’s vote? Is Ahmadi worth for Khamaneie so high that he can buy such a protest against himself?”

Now, I know the reason for such a risk: It is not the presidency issue at all, in fact it is the supreme leader matter! He and his position is in danger! So, he accepts any risk to preserve himself.

As you know, Hashemi Refsanjani is the last Ayatolah who was Khomeini’s coevals. He was the person who did his best to appoint Khamaneie for being supreme leader after Khomeini’s death. He thought he could control Khamaneie, and in fact be the real leader of the country who worked behind the scene.
But every thing didn’t go as Hashemi wanted. Some fundamentalists gathered around Khamaneie, and hold him in their fists.

As the head of the Khobregan council and Maslehat council, Hashemi tried to decrease the supreme leader’s authority, and in fact to weaken the fundamentalists’ strength.
Reformists found themselves and the reformism in danger, so they tried to force Khatami to be the reformists’ candidate. But he had such a bad experience when he was the president. On the other hand, fundamentalists, Khamaneie at top, didn’t let him to participate in the election as a candidate because they knew people would elect him with more than 70% of votes. So he and the reformists asked Mosavi to announce himself as a candidate. All the reformists supported him, including Khatami, Hashemi, and others.
If Mousavi was elected as the president of the country, Hashemi’s power to dismiss Khamaneie would become double. So, Khamaneie asked Ahmadi to attack Hashemi on TV during the talking time with Mosavi and other candidates to defame him. Every body asked why he attacked Hashemi not to Mosavi. All of it was a scenario to first defame Hashemi (and forcing him to resign, and preventing him to support Mosavi any more), and secondly to reappoint Ahmadi in his position.

As you see, people were a kind of toy for Khamaneie to secure and consolidate his dirty position.

I really don’t know how we can live in such a country on which some selfish mullahs rule who do every thing just for remaining in their positions. They are going to omit the “Republic” title of the country, and instead convert it to “Islamic Government”. People will not tolerate such a government.

It is more than 10 days that people are demonstrating their protest to the government, and police, guards, and Basijis (a kind of private force, like Militia) are fighting with them. Nobody likes to be beaten, killed or jailed, but it seems there is no other democratic way. University students, physicians, nurses, workers, ordinary people, our democratic leaders, all are protesting, but the governmental TV says that all of them are terrorists and are fed by the foreigners such as US, UK, and other great countries.
A lot of people, including Neda, killed during the recent protests. But it seems the government doesn’t want to compromise.

    Pray for us.
